Until the Rainmaker Challenge, Jessica Lee thought being a stay at home mom was all she would ever do. But, when she saw the Rainmaker Challenge ad, she felt like it was meant for her.

Jessica Lee shares what she thinks about the Rainmaker coaching program and her experience after going through the challenge. Check out her story to see if the Rainmaker challenge is right for you.

1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with The Rainmaker Family?

My name is Jessica Lee. I am a 33 year old, homeschooling mom of three, who loves the Lord and I am a firefighter’s wife. Before Rainmakers, that’s who I thought I was.

My husband and I graduated from the same Christian school and even though he was older than me, our brothers were good friends. Our moms also both taught/ worked there.

We met in the fall of 2008 after I had gone to college and he was off to play professional baseball. We fell in love, we got engaged and I decided to leave college and finish online so that I could travel with him after the wedding.

I followed him all over the US. In October of 2012, only two months after marriage my dad had a massive medical emergency that put him in the hospital for months. He had a malfunctioning defibrillator that put his heart into afib and repeatedly shocked him.

He made a miraculous recovery after many scary surgeries. Thankfully, this was in the off-season and that next spring we went back to PA where my husband played. I didn’t go back to school after that and just became a stay at home mom. When our daughter was 3 we decided it was time to go back home and settle down.

Then, my daughter started attending preschool and I started working as the school director’s assistant at the Christian school we went to. I coached cheerleading and my husband coached baseball.

We had another baby in 2017, a little boy and I decided to stay home with him. I thought being a stay at home mom was all I would ever do. I loved being home with my kids but I always had a feeling inside that I wasn’t “anything” Everyone in my family was “something”, an accountant, a dental assistant, a business owner, a soldier, a teacher and I was just “mom.”

While I believed that that is exactly where the Lord wanted me at that time, I always had a notion that I needed to do more or be more. I decided to go back to school and finish my degree.

I didn’t know what I would do with a business degree but I felt that I owed it to myself and my children to finish. So I did. Then, about three months later I found out I was pregnant with another baby girl in May of 2021.

Covid brought my oldest daughter home and after seeing how well she did and how much we missed with her being at school, we decided to homeschool her.

So I was now homeschooling her and my son and had an infant. Upon a random scroll of Instagram I saw an ad for Rainmakers that said “Did you know Amazon relies on families like ours to supply their warehouses?” I was intrigued. I watched Chelsey in this video and couldn’t wait to show my husband.

Aside from my one go as a business owner in 2014, where I sold Christian merchandise that I bought wholesale and sold at craft shows around our town, I didn’t know anything about actually owning a business, despite said business degree. I couldn’t wait to click on the ad for Rainmakers, I felt like it was meant for me.

2. Were you hesitant about working with Rainmakers at the beginning?

Honestly, my husband and I love taking chances and risks. We’re also impulsive but I like to positively say that we’re decisive. I think this came from the baseball world as we had to change teams, houses, hotels, apartments, states so many different times and you usually didn’t have long to think about these things.

With Rainmakers, when they asked us if we were ready to submit the payment to be Rainmaker, we just said yes. Even though that amount of money was so difficult to part with.

We had just refinanced on our house and that is the only reason we had the money to spend. I know the Lord planned this for me and my life at the right time. It was so great hearing from my husband that he believed in me and knew that I could do it with the help of the Rainmaker family.

3. There are different ways of approaching Amazon through private labeling, wholesale, etc. What route did you take and how would you explain the process of how the method you chose works to a friend?

When I first thought of Amazon, I only thought of it as a place to buy products, not a place to sell products. However, my brother-in-law started selling shoes that he found at discount stores and he was doing very well.

He actually quit his full time job to sell things on Amazon. We thought he was crazy but his wife was an accountant and had a very good paying job so we just assumed they were living off of her income. He was pretty quiet about his business but he was always shopping. I mean always. Then, up early and up late to ship things out. When I saw what Stephen and Chelsey were teaching, I was like YES!

I chose to go the private label route like Stephen and Chelsey teach us to do. With a private label, I was able to create something that was my own. I now am the owner of a brand and that’s something awesome to say.

With a private label I am able to find the products that align with my brand, cater to my audience and put my own customizations on products that will sell according to the data that I was taught to find.

I work directly with a manufacturer that I found on Alibaba. We have now curated a business relationship where we strive to help each other. I supply them with my business and they help me run mine by delivering quality products.

4. Did you have any experience with this before getting started?

Besides shopping on Amazon, no, not at all.

5. Any Pros or Cons to working with The Rainmaker Family? Anything you wish the course had, but didn’t? Anything you’re especially grateful for?

There were times that I would be overwhelmed but it was usually as I would begin a new phase. The course is well laid out and explains each step in detail with video walkthroughs.

If ever I had a question I was able to reach out to a coach on a coaching call or the Rainmaker community via our private Facebook group.

6. How much did you invest before you saw any results?

I began Rainmakers in November of 2022. I launched the last weekend of May 2023. I invested around $11,000 before I launched including the mastermind. I sold out of my inventory in two months and was able to purchase my second round with what I profited on my first order. I was also in the works with my second product at the time and launched that product in July.

7. Knowing what you know now about Amazon, do you think it is necessary to work with a coaching program like Rainmakers to get started or could you have done this on your own?

Oh I cannot imagine having to figure out everything I learned with Rainmakers on my own. It would have taken so much time to gather and process the amount of information that is provided. The mastermind is a clear and concise road map to success.

8. After joining Rainmakers how long did it take for you to get your first sale?

6 Months

9. How much have you earned since joining Rainmakers?

I have done $125,300 in sales.

10. What tools or resources are needed to become successful with the Amazon FBA program?

Besides Rainmaker Mastermind, the Helium 10 subscription and an Alibaba account are necessities for my business. I also use Fiverr for packing design, product inserts and graphics.

Finding a good photographer is KEY! I used Aaron who is recommended as a Rainmaker Resource. Other Rainmaker resources such as BD Inspections has also been extremely Vital.

11. What does a typical day look like for you now?

I am still working on growing my brand. I have two products, 5 variations launched. I have another product that is being checked into Amazon that has 10 variations. I also have two products that will be finalized soon as well. My goal was five products by next May.

I typically look at my sales a few times each day. I will respond to my manufacturers after 8pm and work on anything needed to get my next products ready. I check inventory every few days. I check on my PPC campaigns every few days as well just to make sure they are maintaining the numbers I have set.

12. What advice would you give to someone who wants to become successful with Amazon FBA?

I would 100{b06a7c74d927971cbbdd1edabb743a60c7d4f6f57c6d783eae1ce476151148b2} tell them to become a Rainmaker. I would tell them to invest in themselves. Often, as Moms we don’t feel like we deserve it and we make ourselves feel guilty for spending money on something for us but Momma this is for you and this is for your family!

You can do hard things and this hard thing becomes a lot easier as a Rainmaker. You will have coaches, leaders, mentors and friends. Look at the data, don’t try to sell something that you THINK will sell. Find what already sells and make it better.

13. What types of products do you sell, feel free to be as specific or broad as you’d like?

Travel Accessories

14. Would you like us to mention your brand for more exposure in the article? If YES, list your brand name here:

Sure, my brand is Fifteen Branches.

Storefront
